Pacific Consulting Hawaiʻi

A consulting firm paying a monthly ecommerce subscription for a website that never sold anything online.

The problem: Their site sat on an ecommerce platform built for online stores. They weren’t running a store. The domain, the email records, and the site were tangled together on one account, which made leaving feel risky enough to keep postponing.
What we did: Rebuilt the site as a fast bilingual page in English and Japanese, moved the domain to a registrar charging at cost, migrated DNS with their email untouched, repaired a pre-existing gap in their email authentication records, and cancelled the old platform only once the new site was verified live.
The result: Same web address, no downtime, no monthly platform bill. The code repository was transferred into their ownership and documented in plain language. We stay on as a collaborator so they can still ask for changes.

In progress Ecommerce Cross-border 2026

Hawaiʻi-made coffee and dog apparel, selling into Japan. Referred to us by Pacific Consulting Hawaiʻi.

The problem: A brand with proven demand, sold in person across several Japanese prefectures, and no online storefront to sell to those customers afterwards. Standard ecommerce platform fees would take a real bite out of the margin.
What we’re doing: Building the storefront on lower-fee infrastructure, choosing payment methods Japanese customers actually use, and working through the shipping and labelling questions that come with selling from Hawaiʻi into Japan.
Status: In development. This case study will be completed and the site linked once it launches.
